GameTrainer is a mode in which the game is running. You connect to the save files in the folders, and search for specific values, then change them. You can replace this folder back to it’s location later to keep savegame data. This will prevent any mishaps, allowing you to scan the data for problems later. Some games need that, so allow it, then copy paste the appdata, roaming, macrovision folder whereever you want (in a non run directory like documents), and wipe all your cookiecache afterward. It sandboxes inside the player and leaves only access to protected, private process memory (yes in your profile memory, but usually innocuous, and only with admin rights provided). Some have gone to the standalone flash player for this reason. You still need to run your AV and have it watch the process. However, with more browsers actually enclosing it in a separate and wrapped process with the latest flash, you can be a little safer. WIth different browsers, the plugin runs a little different, but most run them outside the browser in a protected memory space “as if local host”, and this can be a security problem (hence the sandbox). Finding the right one for the right app is a little tricky. They run inside other processes usually, but with games, they run sandboxed in their own process. Flash and shockwave are a different animal.
